We Need You to Hold the Door Open for Persecuted Christians
Will you take 3 actions in 3 minutes to stand with refugees. The time to act is NOW!
Initial reports suggest the U.S. may resettle as few as 7,500 refugees next year, most of those spots reserved for one group. That’s a massive drop, and it threatens to unravel a long-standing, bipartisan path for the world’s most persecuted people, including many Christians, to find safety.
Every year, the President sets this number after consulting with Congress. And right now, it’s not final—but we’re running out of time to speak up.
This isn’t about politics. It’s about people.
In the final year of the last administration, nearly 30,000 persecuted Christians were welcomed. If these drastic reductions go through, thousands will be left in danger.
We need you to do just 3 things in 3 minutes to keep the door open.

Why Are We Asking This Now?
Last week, we spoke with our friends at World Relief and We Choose Welcome to discuss the urgent need to use our voices. Watch this important conversation now:
Over the past several weeks, The New York Times, Reuters, and WORLD, have reported that the Trump Administration is preparing to set a Fiscal Year 2026 ceiling for refugee admissions of 7,500 – the lowest level in U.S. history.
With an estimated 123 million forcibly displaced people around the world (42 million deemed refugees, having crossed a national boundary fleeing persecution), the U.S can and must do more to welcome the world's weariest who are in desperate need of safe haven.
This week, and until an official determination is set, we want to strongly encourage President Trump to reconsider setting any final refugee ceiling number until consulting with congressional leaders, as required by law, and consider setting a resettlement goal of at least 50,000 refugees (as was the determination during his first administration in 2017). While 50,000 might seem like a large number, this figure only represents about 0.1% of the world's refugees.
Hold the Door Open for the Persecuted
Christians around the world are fleeing for their lives. Will we shut the door? Each year, the U.S. President sets a refugee intake ceiling, the maximum number of people legally allowed to find safety through resettlement in our country. Let’s raise the ceiling together and restore hope to thousands who are fleeing on account of their faith in Jesus.
Christian persecution is on the rise around the globe and often times we feel helpless to know how to create change and provide safety for these brothers and sisters in Christ. But today, you can do something.
The United Stated of America has a long standing tradition of intentionally inviting and welcoming persecuted people from across the world to America to find safety and start a new life.
It Only Takes 3 Minutes!
You can be a part of ensuring this invite remains available. You can HOLD THE DOOR open for persecuted people by letting the current administration know you want to keep a humanitarian pathway open for thoroughly vetted and vulnerable people through the refugee resettlement program.Currently, this door has plans to close and only be offered to 7,500 Afrikaners from South Africa.
But with 40+million persecuted people in the world, we know this isn’t enough and we know that the door would be closed to our Christian brothers and sisters.
So, join us TODAY in helping hold the door open but doing: 3 actions in 3 minutes (two calls to your Senators and one e-mail to the White House). We’ve made it SO easy and simple to do with this tool: Click here to call your senators and email the White House.
