As we engage with the news and the culture, we always want to engage through the lens of faith. We sat down with Pastor, speaker, and author Sharon Hodde Miller to help us consider how we can talk and think about immigration as individuals and churches in this divisive time. She shares how she leads her own congregation and family in a way that encourages us to think more deeply about how we can take steps closer to those in our own communities who have different backgrounds than our own. Don't miss her thoughtful, biblical, and practical insights.
Sharon Hodde Miller address:
How do you encourage your congregation to engage with individuals who may have different backgrounds or experiences from their own?
How can churches talk about Biblical principles of hospitality and justice regarding immigrants and refugees in such a polarized time?
How can evangelical women embody Jesus' teachings regarding welcoming the marginalized and vulnerable, particularly in today's immigration discourse?
Could you share a moment or experience that profoundly influenced your understanding of hospitality and welcoming strangers?
How do you instill values of compassion and hospitality in your children?
